This may be the last post that I do before I go off to band camp. I'll be leaving on Monday and coming home Friday. One week without you guys! One week without talking to him! Oh, I'm sure I'll survive though. You guys wish me luck! 


I'm not sure what to blog about. Wednesday we had pre-camp day at the high school. We were there for 9 hours. 9 whole hours of marching and commands and... whew, was I tired after that.


I can't think of anything to blog about.


Oh! I'm helping my mom open a shop for her hair accessories. Then you guys will be able to buy them online and stuff and that'll be sweet. It's still under construction though, but once we're done, I'm going to need you guys to help me spread the word about it, kay? ;) Here's a sample picture of some of the stuff she sells. And yes, it was taken by me. :)

This is pretty much my beliefs right there. I believe in God. I don't believe that if you sin you're going to hell. I don't believe if you don't go to church you're going to hell. I don't believe chruch is the only place to love God. Church is a good place, if it's for you. I for one am embarrassed to go to church. You're being mocked, judged, stared at & stereotyped by the congregation. I feel like you should have your own personal relationship with whatever God you believe in. That is the only way to be saved. If truly believe in what your practicing. Jesus was a friend and not a judge. He's there to help you. Show you how to love and how to live in harmony. That's the ultimate gift right there. Love and Peace. No fighting. No separation. Everyone is one. We're all together just looking for answers & that's what God is there to help you do.

So I realise I haven't done a personal post in awhile. I'm sorry, Blogger for forgetting you! Life has just been so amazing lately. And yes, maybe it's because of a guy. But you're not getting anything out of me, yet. MUAHAHA. :P Unless, you reeeeeeeeally want to know all the details, then just give me your email address and I'll email you and then I'll talk your ears off but... :P *sticks out tongue at you and smiles* 

So what have I been doing recently this summer? Well, you know, probably not as your guys'. I've been chillin' at home, hanging out with my friends, meeting some cool new people and high schoolers, and I'll be going to band camp for a week starting on August 2nd. I'm not ready to go to band camp. I know it'll definitely be fun, and I'll get to meet even more high schoolers and I'll be able to be like, "Hah! I know more high schoolers than you!" to all the other Freshmen, but I don't know. I hope no one makes us go swimming. I mean, don't mind swimming but I'm too lazy for that. I have to take out my contacts, and then after swimming shower and blahhh. That's why I only go swimming sometimes when I feel like it. Which is not often. Plus, I don't like wearing my glasses except on weekends when I'm at home or with my close friends. Because... eye-decay (IDK). (:

And other than the band camp and band rehearsals, I'm going down to Austin, TX with my mom and Sophia to visit some old friends that we haven't seen in awhile. I can't wait! It's going to be so much fun! Plus, I hear there's a lot of vintage and thrift stores in Austin. And you all know how I love me some vintage. :) 

By the way, Sophia (my little sister, for those new followers) is turning 3 this Tuesday on the 27th. I can't believe she'll be three! Time flies too fast. I wish Summer vacation wasn't halfway over.

OH! And some AWESOME news: My dad finally found the tripod from our old film camera so I can finally do some rad self-portraits with it. YAY!!! I finally have a tripod now! :D YESYESYES!!! Haha, I'm sorry, only I would be this excited about a tripod.

Hi guys, I guess I should do an introduction about myself before actually talking about something. My name is Rosa and I own RDNY!. I live in Western Sydney, Australia and I'm currently 17. I've been lucky enough to win the 100 followers contest on Candy's Blog. HORRRAY! Let me say, Candy is amazing :) its such a great opportunity to have my first guest post at her blog.

Since Candy is in much love of photography as I am, I thought I'd share with you some photography of my own. I don't really have a style, I think my subjects mostly consist of inanimate objects which is mostly food. I don't take photos of people yeah.. I'm on the road on improvement as well :)

Something that nobody knows about me... that's pretty hard. The thing is, I feel so comfortable telling you guys stuff. You guys aren't just my random blog readers. You guys are my Blogger "family", almost. Plus, there are things that I have told my friends and family. It's so difficult to think of something that nobody knows. I guess I'll have to dig back into an old diary or something. Let's see... can I come back to you on this one?


What is your biggest regret in life?

What would you do with a thousand dollars?
A thousand dollars really isn't a lot, but first I'd want to buy something for my parents for having to actually deal with me on a daily basis. xD And then perhaps some nice glass for my new camera, and something music-related, of course.

5 Days... and some updates!

5 days until my beloved Canon Eos Rebel T1i comes. I'm super excited! Now, all I need is a name for him... any suggestions? I was contemplating on naming him Ronald Weasely, so I can be like, "Hey, so I've been hanging out with Ron this weekend." Haha, yeah, I'm a Harry Potter dork. (Don't judge!) I'll think of something.

Anyway, some updates:

*So it's official! I'm going to Austin, TX for a week beginning on August 22nd! I'm going down there with Sophia and my mom to visit some family friends. Plus, it's not like I have any other plans this summer besides photography and band stuff. (Fail.) I only wish that I would stop in my hometown Norman, Oklahoma to visit all my friends, but I can't. D: I'm so excited, nonetheless! I haven't been down South in forever. I miss it. And even though I live in the suburbs in the Midwest, I'm really a city girl at heart.... although I sometimes wonder what it would be like to live on a farm. They're so beautiful and there's so many things you can take pictures of... 

* My dear Blogger friend, Rosa will be doing a guest post on the 13th, and I will be doing a guest post on her blog, as well, seeing as how she won the 100 followers contest. I thought this might be fun! So yeah, watch out for that.

I'm Getting My First DSLR! :)

As the mood indacator suggests, I am ecstatic. Why? Because I'm getting a new camera! And not just any new camera. A Canon Eos Rebel T1i. And it's not just any Canon camera - it's a DSLR! I am super psyched! We ordered on the 7th (Wednesday) after I asked my dad casually when we would be able to get it. I thought it would be at least another month before we ordered it, but really, since my mom didn't get to go to Indiana (therefore, I didn't get to make any money) there was no point in waiting. Of course, I'd have to pay for half of it (with money I saved up from working a few years ago) and it'll most likely be an early X-mas or B-day present, it's still worth it. It'll be my new lover. (Next to Mr. Sushi, my iPod, of course.) 


It just shipped today though and will probably arrive on the 16th. That's one week away. That's too long! I was being emotionally prepared for it to arrive this Monday. More waiting... 
I hate waiting.


But hey, while you're reading this, I just started a new and more official photoblog/portfolio to celebrate the event of me getting my first DSLR. The old blog will most likely stay there to rot because I can't imagine deleting it.


But yeah, I created a new one, and once I get used to my new camera, I might even sell some prints. (You guys shall help me spread the word once I do, won't you?) *wink wink/hint hint* 


It's still under construction, but there's no pain in following early. It only takes a click of a mouse. After all, you're not doing anything right now seeing as you're reading my boring little blog.
