Love Is Dead

(Photos & Poem © 2009 by Candice Audrey Anderson. Do not copy. All rights reserved.)

Love is like a golden brown leaf

falling to the ground.

Falling, twirling, drifting,

toward that spot on the Earth.

Clinging on to the bare branches for

dear life.

It has lost its lovely green colour.

It has lost its beautiful glow.

Crunch, crunch, crunch

is the sound of thick,

Winter boots treading peacefully

across it.

It is now but shreds,

waiting for Spring to come,

alas, so it may be pure once more.

it's great feeling creative because you don't necessarily have to be in order to feel.
Lovely, leaf photo. I love red! and fall!

I want to apply to Vassar, NYU, Colombia, Brown, Sarah Lawerence, Fordham. Oh so many and probably too many. =/
