High School Never Ends

I was looking back through all of my previous posts and realised that I haven't updated you guys with my thoughts or what's been happening in my life recently, so I decided to do a more personal post today. The week before school starts is the busiest. Well... not really, but it feels like it. I mean, my mind just feels so crowded for some reason; there's so much going on in my head and it's driving me crazy! Hahaha.

So today was Freshmen Orientation. It was more interesting than I expected. For one, I got to see him, since he was one of the freshmen mentors there! Gahhh, it made my day. I caught myself smiling several times later throughout the day... ♥ But anyways, enough of my silly lovesick talk! :) For the first hours, we went to the East gym and all of us - the Freshmen, and the Junior and Seniors who were Freshmen mentors played... Simon says? And sang songs that we learned in first grade? Hahaha, and then we did some activities that helped us all "get to know" each other better and learn more about high school. Afterwards, we took school pictures and filled out forms, etc.

I had a lot of fun in Texas. I'm glad I at least got to go somewhere this summer. We went to Austin, San Antonio, and a small town called Segin to see and visit our family friends! It was only a week, but Ron got a workout, taking all those photos. He's been working out a lot recently. That's why he's exhausted and is getting his rest. :D (Ron, by the way, for those who don't know, is my camera.)

I'm going to Chicago tomorrow to do some stuff. It'll only be a day though, but I hope I can get some street photos in! :)


Boy oh boy, why is summer ending so quickly? It feels like it just flew right by...

3RD: Lifetime Wellness & Fitness - Thompson
4TH: U.S History/Geography - Minthorn
5TH: Varsity Band - Schwegler

*I didn't get into Accelerated English? WHAT IS THIS!?!??! I'm in the top 5% of my class! How come I didn't get in the class? I should have made the top 33 cutoff. Why oh why? D: 


Well anyway, those of you who are in high school already... I'm eager to receive any advice that you may have.

Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know that I'll be going to Austin, TX with my mom and Sophia on Sunday - Friday to visit some old family friends (I can't wait, I'm so excited!) so I may or may not be able to post or update you guys next week. We'll be staying at our friend's house, so I might be able to sneak a post in somewhere. 

Don't worry though. I'll be back with lots of photos! 

I just can't wait to get out of this boring lil' town. I'll be missing my friends though! :]

i walk with withered hands
my feet on broken asphalt,
burning, burning, burning
against the floor of my feet.

the road ahead looks dark
and there are no lights up ahead.
there are only shadows
that grow darker with every step.

there are demons that follow me
wherever i go.
they tell me things.
things that i don't want to hear.

i'm cold and my whole body is shivering.
my feet burns against the warm asphalt.
they hurt so much.

no cars. no lights. no sounds.
nothing. deafening silence
rings in my head.
there's nothing.

up ahead. suddenly. there's a spark.
you can barely see it.
but i see it. i see it!
a tiny spark of blue light.

i start running. running towards that light.
i feel the demons disappearing into the darkness.
the light grows brighter.
my shoulders feel lighter.
and suddenly, i feel like i can fly.
